Companies or individuals with an idea for developing an application or technology for business use can register for assistance through Indiana’s Technical Assistance Program.
The Indiana Small Business Development Center announced apps for the program will be accepted until February 20. The initiative connects small businesses with professional assistance to carry out growth and improvement projects.

Eligible small businesses can apply for up to $15,000 in professional services from a qualified vendor to complete growth and improvement projects requiring specialized assistance or technical expertise such as application or software development. technology, intellectual property legal assistance, and grant-writing assistance for small business research and innovation. The program is administered in partnership with the Cook Center for Entrepreneurship at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington, home to the SBDC’s South-Central Indiana Regional Office.
INTAP has helped 128 businesses complete projects since its launch in 2017, of which 68 were completed in 2021. To be eligible for INTAP, Indiana small businesses must meet the following criteria:
- Be or become an Indiana SBDC customer,
- Have a physical presence in Indiana,
- Use a supplier physically located in Indiana,
- Be able to complete the project within five months and before December 31, 2022,
- Be an eligible project type, and
- Be able to demonstrate a positive impact after completion, including but not limited to creating new jobs, increasing production or sales, or expanding new markets.
